Kate’s royal wedding last spring was guaranteed to set future wedding trends. One of our favs for 2012 is all-white weddings… such a glamorous, elegant and timeless look. This trend started to take hold in immediate following the British nupitials as many of our brides opted for gorgeous all-white bridal bouquets of peonies, orchids or roses and 2012 promises many more white weddings. Keep your venue and style of wedding in mind when putting together your all-white color palette… with so many shades of white and great matching neutrals (like silver or beige) to tie everything together the options are endless and can have very different results.
Brides on a budget will want to think in season when choosing flowers (tulips in the spring) but more popular flowers like roses and even carnations are available year round but if you are looking for wow-factor, white full peonies are the way to go. Consider adding ostrich feathers, your mother’s favorite brooch or other non-organic pieces for texture (and a personal touch). Even the slightest pop of color can work to enhance the all white feel (take the yellow or added greenery above, for example). Can’t wait to share many of the white weddings we have in the works for this year… Until then we would love to talk with about your ideas for an all white wedding.
